Saline County Holiday Project
The Saline County Inter-Agency Council began as an initiative nearly 50 years ago to provide holiday help for children and families in Saline County. It was named the Holiday Project and has continued to be a valuable resource for local families and individuals to receive food and gifts at Christmastime. Local churches, non-profit organizations, and countless community individuals work together to donate, volunteer and organize these efforts. In 2023, 300 families were served, with over 800 kids receiving presents.
Families/Individuals can apply for assistance in November and gifts and food will be distributed by invitation mid-December. More details can be found on the Facebook group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/378577146494121
Donations are greatly appreciated! Our goal is to provide at least 2 gifts valued at $25 or more for every child, and a food box with about 1 weeks worth of food for every family/individual. Toy/Gift and Food Collection Sites will be announced near the end of October. Monetary Donations are greatly appreciated and can be mailed to Allie Pointer, MVCAA at 1415 S Odell Ave, Marshall, MO 65340, or can be submitted online at paypal.me/holidayproject or Venmo @SalineCounty-HolidayProject.
Thank you for giving the gift of help this Christmas!
